[reportlab-users] Umlaut Bug with Adobe Reader and Arial

This sounds to me like there might be a "bug" in that particular
font's implementation of those characters (i.e. hinting code).  We
have never seen this before in 14 years and I can't see why we were
doing anything wrong in going for the readable option.

But if anyone else finds stuff disappearing as they zoom, please do let us know.
