[reportlab-users] Wrong kind of slash in doc string cause error in tests-preinstall

Feeling unusually dutiful, I read INSTALL.txt when install from the 2.3 
tar I downloaded yesterday, and actually ran:

    python setup.py tests.-preinstall

This gets one error, which I eventually tracked down to:

    <simple_tag\>

In the doc string of src/reportlab/lib/rparsexml.py, on line 44.

If I change to a forward slash:

    <simple_tag/>

the the test is successful, and reportlab-reference.pdf actually gets 
built.  (It says the tests ran OK though it does still mention "Failed 
to import renderPM".)
