hi Fokko

In this case I do not believe Don set out to eliminate
support for 10.4, and I am sure he will continue to support
the original MLDX which should run as long as your machine.

Had he just came up with a simple port or such this new version
would mostly run but as David and Don mentioned those
features he needed to use were not only enhancements in pure
code, but many people over a bit of a while, have been sending
Don 'wish list' features which would have been difficult or even
impossible to achieve w/o the support of 10.5

Don had to put a stake in the ground to move forward

So in some ways you might think of the new MLDX as a
'upgrade' but in some other ways it's almost like a bit of a new
program given all the ground up re writing and new features ,
that is just my humble opinion , how I look a it

Fokko, I to have a older G4 machine running Tiger and it's
my 'ham pc' I kept it since a few programs rather old and
unsupported but still loved won't work on 10.5 or intel-- however
have been playing w/the new version on my intelbook too

best of luck
