this looks just great to me. I like it a lot, especially compared to the
old design. ;)
One more suggestion (since you asked for it): Can we add a short
paragraph at the bottom of the starting page, with a heading like "Where
do I go from here?" or "How should I start?". It could list some of the
links in the menus above, but embed them in free text:
How do I start using SCons?
===================
Please <download a recent version> and install it as described in <???>.
You should then be able to call the "scons" command in a terminal of
your choice. Start reading the <UserGuide> and try out some of the
examples in the first chapters, just to get a feel for the way SCons
handles build processes. For the more technical questions, you can
either refer to our rather extensive <ManPage> ("man scons" under
posix-like systems), or ask questions on our <User Mailing List>.
We also have a <Wiki> with lots of <coding examples> and other
guidelines, e.g. about how to <contribute to the project> or how to
<write new Builders and Tools>.
Best regards,
Dirk
