This is untestable because it's a single method of a class which does
access others like getDataList() without providing it, like here:

    dataList = self.getDataList(inputFileName)

And it is also totally unclear what your input looks like...

Also, for longer code you can help other people testing it by attaching
it as a real file to your email (within a limit of around 40 K imposed
by this mailman list, I think), as sometimes emailers wrap longer lines 
etc.
