I should just point out that you don't need those fonts to make PDFs at all.

The failing tests are failing tests of font embedding.  The versions
of Python we supported until recently do not support 'skipping tests'.
In the next release, we will be able to use latest unittest, and just
skip these.

You only need the files if you want to generate bitmap images of fonts.
