Yes.   It makes the .exe files which you can see here, and which
appear to work with easy_install
   http://pypi.python.org/pypi/reportlab/2.4

This has been working for 6 months.  I thought you were saying we
should also be making something with 'egg' in the name and uploading
that to pypi?
