Hi Chris,

our tool "pisa" may be what you are looking for:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/spirito-pisa/

It uses REPORTLAB for PDF generation and pyPDF for PDF watermarks. It is
completely written in pure Python an therefore platform independent.
