You might consider taking this opportunity to rename the method to
something like
def link(...absolute=True)
because linkAbsolute(relative=True) is like thing.Add(2,subtract=True)
Either way the docs should be edited to add details about linkRect() and
relative links which currently go unmentioned. Otherwise it will seem
like you can't get a relative positioned link which would be a pity.
