Hello

Wouldn't maybe a more quick approach like a simple converter for existing 
formats be a useful alternative? For example a script that converts a subset 
of SVG to reportlab commands. If it would extract just the basic elements 
like lines, curves and so on, you could draw your graphics with standard 
software like Freehand.

I am also very interested but I have a time problem and also my programming 
skills are not too famous...
