>From what I understand, to compile PyV4L you need :

        /usr/include/linux/videodev.h
        /usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xlib.h
        /usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xutil.h
        /usr/X11R6/include/X11/extensions/xf86dga.h
        
(packages libx11-dev and xlibs-static-dev and linux-kernel-headers
should include these)
        
for me it built and installed like a charm        

please contact me privately if you've got other problems, since this
is not really related to RL.
