[reportlab-users] Can't find .pfb for face 'Times-Roman'

I think they've embedded it all in some big binary
thing for the last two versions.  In any event,
the problem is more about the right to redistribute.
Our software may run on boxes where Reader is not
present and I don't want to bundle in fonts from
Adobe unless they specifically say anyone can do so.

All other PDF tools leave fonts up to the user - they
have to select and embed ones on their own system.  I 
would personally like to have some good ones 'in the box' 
for demos and testing, and be able to offer bitmap
equivalents for the standard 14 which are close (if not
perfect) and can be used if you want to flip a chart
from PDF to, say, GIF.  Still looking for equivalents...  


Bistream Vera looks promising in this regard:  we can 
include that family in the open source and commercial
prodicts, and people building products with ReportLab's
library inside can also freely redistribute them.
