It's the header from the old log file. You can delete it.

Not at the moment - no way to sense that electronically, just as easy  
to put it in the comments.

It picks it up automatically from the driver you choose in the Radio  
Prefs.

Yes. Please enable the "Debug Log" check box in the Radio Prefs Panel,  
click the VFO check box on and off a few times and send me the  
relevant Console Application Console Messages as well as a screen shot  
of your Radio Prefs.

Also sounds like a communications problem.
