Interesting - let's see if others experience the same problem.

Actually, it is the international standard according to Apple...
"A calendar format is a string formatted with date conversion
specifiers. If you do not specify a calendar format for an object,
NSCalendarDate substitutes its own default. The default is the
international format of “%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S %z” (for example,
2001-03-24 16:45:12 +0900)."
I have omitted the "+0900" since we are dealing with UTC or "+0000".
