Hi all!

I just wanted to update everyone that may not have been at rehearsal on
our choir news.

We have a new organ! Thanks to two generous donations, the new Rogers
Cambridge 735 organ was picked up on Tuesday.

The organ currently sets in the Narthex of the church to be available
for the congregation to see. We have already had a consultant from
Central Music (the local Rogers representative) come out and provide us
with the information we needed for installation. We will have to run
some speaker cables and get the speakers in the tone cabinets replaced,
but we are hopeful that we *might* have the new organ in place for
Easter morning service.

We have a busy week coming up. Sunday is Palm Sunday and we are singing
the familiar anthem "The Palms" with Georgia singing the second verse as
a solo. Thanks Georgia! Our introit is a simple hymn arrangement of our
scripture lesson for the day.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We would like to start rehearsal at 10:15 on Sunday
morning to practice both for the service Sunday and for Maunday Thursday
service.
!!!LOOK!!!

We are holding a Maunday Thursday service. This is *next* Thursday and
we need to be in the choir room warming up at 6:00pm. The service is at
6:30 and our regular choir rehearsal will follow at 7:30. Please plan on
staying in the choir loft for the whole service.

Our Easter morning service will feature an introit, an anthem and an
offertory, so we will be in the loft the whole service. We will be
singing Holy Ground from the rainbow book as the anthem and possibly
Ring The Bells on Easter Morning for the offertory.

Paula suggested it as one most of the choir should be familiar with.
Thanks Paula! I will try to find us a nice Gloria for the introit before
rehearsal.

If I forgot something that I mentioned in choir, feel free to send an
email to the list to remind us all: sspc-choir at awtrey.com

Can't wait for Sunday!

Tony
