Hold off a bit.
Seems there's an issue running under py35 or py36 virtualenv.

I'll report back when that's resolved.

If you want to try under py 27, go ahead.
Make sure you've updated your virtualenv and pip
pip install -U virtualenv pip
virtualenv venv
venv/bin/pip install -i https://testpypi.python.org/pypi scons

Should do the trick.
