No need to excuse, and it's totally fine to be a little biased. It's 
just that exactly these kind of discussions keep the core developers 
from their actual work...which might be one of the reasons why so many 
bugs in our tracker are untouched. Sorry, I just couldn't resist to give 
this wink. ;)
