[reportlab-users] MediaWiki's "Download as PDF" feature uses ReportLab but has a problem

Dear ReportLab Community,
MediaWiki now provides "Create a book" and "Download as PDF" that lets
you select one or more wiki pages and generate a PDF file from them
(as seen on the English Wikipedia). This is done through a MediaWiki
extension called "Collection" which calls ReportLab to generate the
PDF from a DOM (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:PDF_Writer#Technical).
However, the Chinese and Japanese Wikipedias currently don't have
these PDF creation features because a long Chinese/Japanese line will
not be wrapped in a generated PDF file:

Then I tracked the problem down and found MediaWiki actually uses
ReportLab to generate a PDF, so initially I thought it was ReportLab's
fault that a long Chinese/Japanese line is not wrapped. But then I
found this ReportLab sample PDF file
http://www.reportlab.com/examples/rml/test/test_031_japanese.pdf which
does wrap a long Japanese line nicely.
So now I'm confused. Is it MediaWiki's or ReportLab's fault for the
line wrapping problem described in the above bug report
(https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33430)?
Best Regards,
Ziyuan Yao
