No, it doesn't. It's the same table code and it would be very hard to
allow rounded corners combined with all the possible combinations of
splitting tables by row and column.

Can you show us a picture or description of the effect you want to
create?  Theree may be easier ways to calculate the positions and use
an ordinary rounded rectangle in the right place in graphics mode.
