I'm not sure it's really up for a vote.  PostScript/PDF font names are
not allowed to have spaces, but file names are.  The purpose of the
TTFont API is to map a TrueType font file to a PostScript font name. 
The file name can have spaces, the font name can't.  Just that simple.
