[reportlab-users] Lightly shading boxes

I need to lightly shade a series of boxes on a form using the same color as
the lines that define the form.  Does ReportLab have any functions for
shading rectangles, or has anyone done that before?

 

Another way I can think of doing it is by writing a routine that generates a
bunch of thin lines at 45-degree angles throughout the box.

 

Any other ideas?
