[reportlab-users] Problem setting up renderPM and rl_accel

I am having difficulty getting renderPM and rl_accel to setup properly.

When I type...

python setup.py install

in either directory I get...

ImportError: No module named distutils.core

I have read the Python Module installation manual and can't find the file
mentioned there.

When I run a "find" on distutils.core, all listings "Permission denied"
and none seem to be related to Python.

I am using Python 2.4 with a SuSE Linux 10/Apache server.
