I think the problem with JPEG transparency is that Acrobat gets it wrong. I've 
tried some really simple tests with block coloured jpegs and even quite large 
ranges don't seem to vanish correctly. I know there is some parameter you can 
set to make the saved jpeg less lossy, but I con't know if that would fix the 
problem in the dctdecoder.
