Dick,

How did you install reportlab?  From sources or via a rpm/deb?

If it was from sources, then did you run the setup.py in the top level=20
directory of where you unpacked it?

I initially just copied the unpacked directory tree into site-packages, and=
 it=20
all seemed to work, but the resulting pdf were unreadable by acrobat or=20
kghostscript.  Running the setup.py file (or installing from rpm) fixed thi=
s=20
problem.

As a note to the maintainers, could there please be something put in the=20
README file that mentions this.  To experienced Python users running the=20
setup.py file may be an obvious thing to do, but no so for newcommers.
