... we have a plan that is fairly imminent to support TTF in bitmaps
using freeType as a back end. The latest PIL does this already, but I
think we would need to move the support deeper into renderPM. I'm not
sure how hard that is, but it won't be too far off in time as we have a
requirement to do this ourselves.
