Sorry, David, I was ambiguous. I'm sure the test case still goes into an
infinite memory-chew. The report for the next day, with slightly different
data, didn't hit the problem. That's what I meant by "surprisingly fragile"
-- minor variations in the data in the table affect whether the problem is
hit or not.
