MLDX has pegged it as Swaziland, as has the ARRL. In my awards panel, it also shows as Swaziland. No problem up to nos. The awards panel also shows a confirmation for Fiji, which I don?t have. When I click on the Show Contacts button, 3DA0TM shows up as well. It?s there for two different countries and would appreciate any information on to how to correct this. There is only one entry in the log for this station. VP6DIA is recognized by the ARRL as Ducie Is. While MLDX has it as Pitcairn. If you decide to work the station, MacLoggerDX is ready to instantly add the QSO and your Radio's VFO information to your log and can swing your beam around to work the station Direct or Long Path. MacLoggerDX supports ADIF Import/Export which is fully compatible with eQSL.cc and the ARRL LoTW. MacLoggerDX looks up calls on the Internet, the new QRZ or HamCall Online premium services, in QRZ CD Roms, on MapQuest, it's internal zipcode database, Dxpedition database, the ARRL country and DX lists, your Log Book and your User Call Book. MacLoggerDX's internal databases are regularly updated instantly over the Internet. With a single key stroke you can see where this QSO is operating from - right down to the street level using MapQuest, Google Maps or Google Earth. Not sure of the call you just heard ? K5ZD Super Check Partial Database Files are there to help you out as you enter a partial call. In the background MacLoggerDX can tune your rig to a pre-arranged schedule or scan list - interrupting the program if something of interest pops up on the DXCluster. MacLoggerDX automatically tracks DXCC, IOTA, WAS, VUCC and CQ WAZ (Worked All Zones) Awards and will even use Mail.app or Eudora to Email you if that rare DX location pops up on the DX Clusters. It has a Bands Display panel which tracks activity by HF Ham Band and lets you quickly tune to the action using a separate VFO slider for each band - as well as VFO Stacking registers for quick recall of interesting frequencies. MacLoggerDX can monitor, decode, lookup and plot APRS packets from APRSServe on the Internet or a connected TNC. You can use the TNC panel to communicate with any serial TNC to monitor and decode APRS traffic, DXCluster Spots or to work any of the digital modes supported by the TNC. See stations pop up on the map in real time as they digipeat APRS packets over the International Space Station. MacLoggerDX features popup selection of multiple logs, searching and sorting based on any log field, automatic one-click generation of eQSL Cards, fast and easy printing of logs, envelopes, QSL Cards and bulk address labels, unlimited user-customizeable memories, Drag and Drop Scan List with adjustable delay, UTC scheduled events that automatically switch between summer, winter, weekend and weekday schedules, an integrated CW keyer (OS X) and drivers for over 70 popular Amateur Radio Transceivers and SWL Receivers as well as multi- radio quick-select preferences for switching quickly and easily between multiple rigs. MacLoggerDX can also sync your rig with the NCDXF/IARU Propagation Beacon Network for empirical propagation status displayed in real- time on the world map. MacLoggerDX is fully integrated with MacDopplerPRO X for logging of satellite QSO's and with Apple's OS X Address Book for quick adds of lookup data. --------------------------------------------------------- Requirements * Mac OS 9 with CarbonLib 1.6 or Mac OS X. * Internet connection for Telnet DXClusters. and/or * Radio & TNC for Packet DXClusters. The table does not show a "keyboard key" command to adjust the VFO in 0.01Khz steps to set in the powermate preferences setup. I'm not sure the powermate is even useful in the VFO with a more coarse factor. I'm looking at all this while slowly tuning in the bottom 25 Khz of the HF bands :) Best 73 Lee On Apr 16, 2007, at 5:58 AM, Don Agro wrote: > > On 15-Apr-07, at 9:39 PM, Lee (WW2DX) wrote: > >> Hi All, >> >> Hooked up a Griffin powermate tonight and thought it would be just >> great to use that near my mouse to scan the bands on the >> Ts-2000. Sorry if I was unclear - the only way to get 0.01 kHz is with the VFO slider and the shift key. You can configure the PoweMate to send any key combination in response to rotate right or rotate left. So the choices are 0.1 kHz, 1.0 kHz and 10.0 kHz with the Keyboard up/ down arrows sent from the PowerMate. Or 0.5 kHz 5.0 kHz and 50.0 kHz with the Keyboard left/right arrows sent from the PowerMate. That's quite a range - 6 choices between 0.1 kHz and 50 kHz with the powermate. > I'm not sure the powermate is even useful in the VFO with a more > coarse factor. You don't have to import it - it is already in MLDX file format. Just "add" the MacDoppler folder in your MLDX Prefs Panel log popup and it will appear in your log panel. You can then export it if you like and import it into your main log or leave it there to keep your sat contacts separate. > > Help, > > Lee 73 Don Agro VE3VRW D o g P a r k S o f t w a r e L t d . email: dagro at dogparksoftware.com www: http://www.dogparksoftware.com iChat AV:dogpark at mac.com From alistair at the-manse.net Tue Apr 17 15:05:56 2007 From: alistair at the-manse.net (Alistair Hunt) Date: Tue, 17 Apr 2007 20:05:56 +0100 Subject: [DogParkList] Beacons Message-ID: <7AE85DA2-4F5F-441C-88AA-EA96252ED875@the-manse.net> Hi, this is a new program to me so please forgive me if I have missed something. Also if you set the "Turn off font smoothing for text sizes nn and smaller" pop up in the System preferences/Appearance panel to 8 that will help too. 73 Don Agro VE3VRW D o g P a r k S o f t w a r e L t d . email: dagro at dogparksoftware.com www: http://www.dogparksoftware.com iChat AV:dogpark at mac.com From dagro at dogparksoftware.com Sat Apr 21 09:35:59 2007 From: dagro at dogparksoftware.com (Don Agro) Date: Sat, 21 Apr 2007 09:35:59 -0400 Subject: [DogParkList] MacLoggerDX Remote Operation Message-ID: <5F5DCC33-2A0A-46EC-8A73-EA692C446E45@dogparksoftware.com> If you want to work your shack setup from anywhere in the world... 73 Don Agro VE3VRW D o g P a r k S o f t w a r e L t d . email: dagro at dogparksoftware.com www: http://www.dogparksoftware.com iChat AV:dogpark at mac.com From pa0dtl at cds.nl Sat Apr 21 10:16:18 2007 From: pa0dtl at cds.nl (Fokko) Date: Sat, 21 Apr 2007 16:16:18 +0200 Subject: [DogParkList] Maximal volume/SQL from time to time In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Hello all, I hope someone can help me to solve a very irritating problem with my setup using a MacLoggerDX and a TS570D. It looks like MacLoggerDX is sending the volume and SQL settings all the time, even when I change nothing on my screen. I noticed that a simple receive error set the volume and SQL to 100% on the screen, and as it sends these settings continuously to the TS-570, the radio goes also to 100% (is this not an infamous endless loop?). I have seen that other programs are only sending to the radio when the operator changes something on the screen, but not what it receives via the serial connection. Maybe, but I tried even on 1200 baud, lots of delay, high speed, in all cases it is happening very few times a day. I think the problem is that 1 single transmit or receive error triggers the endless loop. If MacDXlogger would send only changes made by the operator (not by received data -> setting control), this lawine effect could not happen. BTW If I turn on Debug, what should happen? 73, pa0dtl From dagro at dogparksoftware.com Sat Apr 21 11:14:16 2007 From: dagro at dogparksoftware.com (Don Agro) Date: Sat, 21 Apr 2007 11:14:16 -0400 Subject: [DogParkList] Maximal volume/SQL from time to time In-Reply-To: References: <4C8F22D0-2E1F-4627-AFFF-ACE8F8903A51@dogparksoftware.com> Message-ID: Hi, On 21-Apr-07, at 10:31 AM, Fokko wrote: > I think the problem is that 1 single transmit or receive error > triggers the endless loop. The 'endless loop' is MacLoggerDX closing the port because of a communication error and then re opening it. It is not truly endless in that if it fails 10 times in a row it gives up. But for intermittent problems the port will be closed and then reopened. This used to also send the volume setting to the radio - but it does not now. I thought the change was made in 4.3.0 but you may have to try the 4.3.1 beta. > If MacDXlogger would send only changes made by the operator (not by > received data -> setting control), this lawine effect could not > happen. This is the case - MacLoggerDX only sends the audio setting at port open to radios that do not have a front panel. > BTW If I turn on Debug, what should happen? A debug log is created in the MacLoggerDX folder that contains a log of all commands sent to the radio and received from the radio. This is how we diagnose communications errors. 73 Don Agro VE3VRW D o g P a r k S o f t w a r e L t d . email: dagro at dogparksoftware.com www: http://www.dogparksoftware.com iChat AV:dogpark at mac.com From terry at oltraining.com Sat Apr 21 12:44:37 2007 From: terry at oltraining.com (Terrence R. Latest OSX updates installed Icom756PROII MicroHam Digikeyer, Lateset driver from Microham Latest version of CocoaModem with Router. Now my problem, When I start MacloggerDX it connects fine via the CI-V port. So I get the freq. data but it runs real slow and is using alot of resource as per the activity monitor. It spikes from 5% to 85%. When this is occuring the VFO will take up 5 to 10 seconds to update and sometimes loose communication to the port and will start a retry. This is with MacLoggerDX only. If I start CocaoModem I loose communications completely and the computer goes into 100% CPU usage via activity monitor.(All the fans start to scream) I have CocoaModem set for MacLoggerDX. If I run CocaoModem alone all is fine and the computer runs fast. A little history. I originally had a Micro USB interface from Microham but it went bad. I ran this interface for about a year and MacLoggerDX worked great. Of course it uses a different driver. So when the interface failed I decided to upgrade to the DigiKeyer. In summary, Im looking to run MacLoggerDX and CocaoModem together on the DigiKeyer. Since Your software worked great with MicroUSB, I suspect that its a driver issue. Also I notice that the interface from Blackcat Systems uses the same driver as the MicroUSB. FTDI USB driver. Im thinking an alternative would be to buy the Blackcat interface and run MacLoggerDX with a seperate interface and run CocoaModem with the DigiKeyer Driver. Well, I said alot here. So any help or suggestions would be appriciated. Still enjoy your software. Best 73's Mike wm2f at comcast.net -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
